| 农民专业合作社作为互助性经济组织,其具备的农户增收效应备受学界关注,但鲜有研究关注合作社对农地抛荒的影响。本文使用中国劳动力动态调查(CLDS)2016～2018年两期面板数据,采用双向固定效应模型分析发现：(1)合作社使村庄出现农地抛荒的概率降低了20.4%,这初步表明合作社是保障粮食安全的有效载体。在进行一系列稳健性检验后,合作社对农地抛荒的负向影响仍具有稳健性。(2)机制检验表明,合作社通过为村庄提供农业社会化服务抑制农地抛荒。(3)村庄内合作社数量和合作社覆盖农户比例,均会强化合作社对农地抛荒的抑制作用。(4)与村民自发创办型合作社相比,政府扶持型合作社抑制农地抛荒的效果更加显著。(5)合作社的农地抛荒抑制效应对耕地质量更好、耕地数量更多的村庄影响更强。因此,应重视合作社在抑制农地抛荒方面产生的积极影响,使合作社真正成为保障国家粮食安全的重要抓手。 |

| Can Farmers" Specialized Cooperatives Curb Farmland Abandonment? |

| As a mutual-aid economic organization, farmers" Specialized cooperatives have attracted much attention from the academic community, but few studies have paid attention to the impact of cooperatives on farmland abandonment. This paper uses the panel data of the China Labor Dynamics Survey (CLDS) from 2016 to 2018 and uses a two-way fixed effect model to analyze and find that: (1) the probability of farmland abandonment in villages is reduced by 20.4%, which initially shows that cooperatives are an effective carrier for ensuring food security. After a series of robustness tests, the negative impact of cooperatives on farmland abandonment remains robust. (2) Mechanism testing shows that cooperatives inhibit farmland abandonment by providing agricultural socialization services to villages. (3) The number of cooperatives in the village and the proportion of farmers covered by the cooperatives will strengthen the inhibition effect of cooperatives on the abandonment of farmland. (4) Compared with the spontaneous establishment of cooperatives by villagers, the effect of government-supported cooperatives in curbing the abandonment of farmland is more significant. (5) The inhibition effect of farmland abandonment of cooperatives has a stronger impact on villages with better quality of arable land and more arable land. Therefore, attention should be paid to the positive impact of cooperatives in curbing the abandonment of farmland, so that cooperatives can truly become an important starting point for ensuring national food security. |
